How did I do it: You can use any DNA laboratory you wish, DNA Heritage were recommended to me
I ordered a free sample kit from DNA Heritage. http://www.dnaheritage.com/default.asp
They posted it to me in Ireland
In the kit are 3 Q-tip like swabs. I followed the instructions and brushed the
swabs on the inside of my cheeks for about 30 seconds, the cells are
easily and painlessly rubbed off onto the swabs.
The swabs are placed in the supplied envelope and posted back to DNA
Heritage in the USA. Only when the sample is returned, do DNA Heritage send out
an invoice. You get the results in a few weeks.
If you join the Carr DNA Project you will get a special rate by being a member and your results are also sent to the project so that they can be compared with the other members. I choose the maximum number of markers 43 under "Option Two"
